Road to Sky by MICHIYAYA Dance

Road to Sky is an immersive multimedia dance experience by MICHIYAYA Dance, premiering at Wood Street Galleries. Created by Artistic Directors Anya & Mitsuko Clarke-Verdery, the performance explores the emotional and transformative journey of queer parenthood—centering Anya’s role as birthing parent and Mitsuko’s as supporting partner. Spanning two rooms, the piece invites the audience into a deeply personal birth story filled with intention, vulnerability, and love.

Featuring performances by @archforprez, @kirashiina, @indigosparks_, @sabrina_canas, @kanonsugino, and @lydiahfish. With original music and sound design by @gusto.misc, costume design by @drowninginmouthwash, and media design by @jessmedz.
