Come to Kingfly Spirits on Sunday, June 26th for the 7th iteration of the monthly Open Improvisation Lab! Bring an instrument, sing, dance, recite poetry, or otherwise creatively contribute to a night of freely improvised music. This month We're excited to be putting a bill together with Daniel Wyche from Chicago and local Pittsburgh creative music saxophone quartet, Way of the Saxophone!
Set 1: Daniel Wyche - a Chicago-based guitarist, composer and improviser. Working with a wide range of physical preparations, extended techniques, and pedal instruments. His new solo record, “Earthwork,” is out now on American Dreams Records. https://danielwyche.bandcamp.com/album/earthwork.

Set 2: Way of the Saxophone: Ben Barson (bari sax), Alec Redd (alto sax), Elyse Louise (soprano sax), TBD. a jazz and improvised music saxophone quartet featuring members of Afro Yaqui, playing the music of Fred Ho and others.
Set 3: Open Improvisation Lab – a series of improvised performances by members of the public – open to anyone to join!
