GOAT FEST in South Side Park
celebrating the goat herd from Allegheny Goatscape eating invasive species
Join Friends of South Side Park in celebrating the goat herd from Allegheny Goatscape eating down the invasive species in 'Jurassic Valley' with a public celebration! Thanks to a grant from the Allegheny County Conservation District the goats will eat down invasive species in a 6 acre portion of the park for 6 weeks!!
GOAT FEST event includes:
Meet the Allegheny Goatscape goat herd!!!
South Side Park Hikes: 1pm and 3pm
Historical photos of South Side Park
Acoustic musical acts from 12pm to 4pm
Kids Events Include:
Baby Pool & Misting wand
Storytime
Crafts
Free Food Includes:
The Great Goat Cake
Grilled cheeses
Water
Bring a blanket & cooler & enjoy a picnic!
The event hub will be located at the Bandi Schaum Community Garden. Please park at the Mission Street parking lot below, and walk up the paved road to the garden.
