It was 8 years ago this month that Dj Vex and myself started a humble little party dedicated to the music of the Motherland. We set out to celebrate Afrobeat music specifically but also other sounds and styles from the diaspora. It is my honor and duty to continue this journey of sharing the music we loved to discover, dissect and dance to.
