FROM THE EDITOR AT POST-PUNK.COM:
Unveiling their beautiful sonic tapestry of coldwave bass lines, minimal synth melodies, and ethereal vocals, is a brand new post-punk supergroup Nuovo Testamento.

The new band is a 1-part American 2-parts Italian trio featuring members from Horror Vacui, Sheer Mag, Tørsö, Terremoto, and Crimson Scarlet.

More precisely, the band is the union of Chelsey Crowley and Giacomo Zatti of the international collaboration Terremoto, enlisting Andrea Mantione a.k.a. Masbucci, of Horror Vacui.

ABOUT NUOVO TESTAMENTO

Nuovo Testamento, a trio based in Los Angeles and Bologna, is known for their unique blend of dark, Italo disco-flavored pop music. Following their coldwave favorite, the Exposure EP, released in 2019 on Avant! Records, their full-length album, New Earth, exploded onto the scene. It gracefully incorporated 1980's-influenced club elements, contagious rhythms, and powerful synthpop, leading to its wide acclaim as one of 2021’s best underground albums of the year.

Their latest album, Love Lines, continues their exploration of light, dark, and exultant personal power and promises to be an instant dance classic. Produced by sound engineer Maurizio Baggio, who has worked with Boy Harsher and The Soft Moon, and with vocals recorded by Riki, Love Lines carries resonances of the work of Shep Pettibone and Chris Barbosa. It serves as a testament to the enduring power of pop music.

Love Lines is not just an album; it's a testament to life and the joy of survival. It's vibrant with Italo disco and Hi-NRG celebration and was born amidst years of pandemic uncertainty and restriction. The album, consisting of eight new tracks, seeks to invoke a sense of motion in an otherwise stagnant time and place. Its rich synthesizers and driving percussion speak to the need for movement, connection, and autonomy.

Set for release on March 20 on Discoteca Italia, Love Lines will be available in limited vinyl editions, including classic Black, Baby Blue/Baby Pink (250), and Red/White (250). This album signifies a major step forward for the band, who are set to continue their impressive trajectory with a highly anticipated seven-week U.S. tour supporting Molchat Doma in 2023. Their journey from the Exposure EP to Love Lines shows a band unafraid to evolve, embracing pop music and the emotions it can convey, while keeping their roots in the underground scene.
