Kingfly is thrilled to welcome to the stage for the first time in 5 year, OPEK!

Led by Ben Opie, OPEK is a reduced sized big band that features some of Pittsburgh's most vibrant and exciting creative musicians. OPEK started as an opportunity to perform the music of visionary bandleader Sun Ra. Its repertoire has expanded to include Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, monster movie soundtracks, original works, and all points in between. OPEK performances are lively, engaging, and most of all, fun! This will be the first OPEK performance in five years, and the musicians are hungry to jump in. Most of our long-standing lineup will be there with a few additional guests. You won’t want to miss out on this one!

We’ll start checking guests in at 7pm, if you’d like to join us early, grab a cocktail and find your seat before the show starts at 8pm. This event will take place in Kingfly's spacious, 5,000 square foot Loft. Tickets are $20+ each, but will be sold by the table. Any additional seating requests must be sent to events@kingflyspirits.com in advance of the show and we will do our best to accommodate.
